There are roads to HaadRin, but we have warned you that the roads are not in the best condition and unless you are a competitant motorcycle rider then don't try to get to Had Rin, as nearly all accidents involving motorcycles happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorcylce at the seven eleven at BanTai and pay about 60 Baht for a taxi over the hills to HaadRin.
There are lots of ways to explore the island, you can use one of the local taxi cab for a small amount of Baht,or you are able to drive you can hire a quad or bike and do it in your own time frame.

The south east part of Koh Panghan is the main party area including HadRin and the full moon party beach. Most of the area surrounding Had Rin is mountains making most of the excellent fine white beaches unaccessable by road, the only way to get to them is by boat from Haad Rin.
There are concrete roads to Had Rin, but you have been warned that the concrete roads are not in the greatest condition and unless you are a competitant motorcycle rider then do not try to get to HaadRin, as nearly all accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorcylce at the seven eleven at Ban Tai and pay approx 40 Baht for a pick up over the mountains to HaadRin.
Koh Phangan is about 2 1/2 hours from Don Sak and about 45 minutes from Samui by ferry. The cheapest way from Bangkok to Koh Phangan would be to buy joint tickets from Songserm Travel who operates joint ticket for (Boats and Express boats, buses, train, air) to Phangan. Or you can fly an 1 hour flight by Bangkok Airways daily from BKK to Samui and get the speed boat to Koh Phangan.
